BSB Industry's strong team of workshop leaders all began their careers on the floor

Six skilled employees at BSB Industry have transitioned from working on the factory floor at the machine factory to being responsible for employees and production as workshop leaders at the steel company's Polish factories in Ciechocin and Toruń.

Every day, Dawid Czyzniewski, Dariusz Wróblewski, Kamil Kaminski, Mateusz Malinowski, Krzysztof Argalski, and Kamil Nowatkowski come to work to guide their colleagues, optimize processes, and deliver the well-known quality of BSB Industry products.

Each and all of them started their careers at BSB Industry on the production floor. Here, they have learned the processes of production and gained important experiences, which they have brought with them as they all advanced to workshop leaders. The six workshop leaders now oversee work in the welding, machining, packaging, and development departments at BSB Industry.

- Most of us have been here for 10 years or more. We all started out in production on the floor, which means we have gained a great sum of knowledge from the bottom up to better understand our colleagues' work situations. We have grown, together with BSB Industry and with the evolving multitude of tasks. Each day offers exciting challenges and that is exactly what makes sense to us, says Dawid Czyzniewski, who is workshop leader for the machine department.

Together we are strong

We have a good and open atmosphere at BSB Industry where we are listened to and respect each other. If you have a good idea about how things can be done in a different and better way, it will be taken seriously. I have experienced this myself, and the idea is now implemented in the technical department.

Finding the right solutions

The atmosphere is vibrant among the six workshop leaders and production manager Piotr Grubecki. The men are friendly, quiet, and grounded, and there is room for laughter and humor. Work is performed in good spirits. But they are also serious leaders who are extremely dedicated to their work.

- With new orders and new projects, we constantly need to aim for the right solutions. It requires that we are good at collaboration and at supervising our teams. The greatest challenge is to keep to the schedule, as all steps in production depend on each other to reach the final deadline, says Kamil Nowatkowski, who is the workshop leader for the packaging department.

He and the other workshop leaders appreciate the opportunities they have to experience an exciting workday where they have leeway to influence decisions, thus being able to develop personally and professionally.

One team with the same goal

The six workshop leaders meet every day at 7:30 am for a morning briefing. The day's tasks are reviewed, and at 11:00 am, they follow up with management, who come around the departments to look at the work and discuss challenges and successes with the workshop leaders.

- We are all well-informed about what is happening in the different departments and where we are headed. We each do our job together with our skilled and independent employees, but we also have to collaborate and help each other across departments. The good atmosphere at BSB Industry is driven by the fact that we are a team with the same goals, emphasizes Dawid Czyzniewski.

We understand each other

Piotr Grubecki, production manager at BSB Industry in Ciechocin, is very satisfied with his workshop leaders, with whom he has a good, relaxed, and professional relationship.

- They are all very competent, and we have good communication with each other. If problems arise that need to be solved, I find that we can quickly resolve them because everyone knows what we're talking about. We are on the same level, and that is a huge advantage. I can sincerely say that we have the right people in the right place, says a pleased Piotr Grubecki.

The six workshop leaders at BSB Industry are all part of the local community in Ciechocin and Toruń, where they live with their families within a radius of 20 km.
